The Transparent Figures preserved in the muse- um collection are a representative cross-section of the product portfolio during decades of pro- duction at the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum (DHMD). Their summarised “curricula vitae” point to the various usages and exhibition pres- entations of the transparent models over the course of the 20th and 21st centuries. The use of the Transparent Figures as display models in the context of health education ended following the political turnaround of 1989/90. However, with their re-evaluation as museum objects with historical-cultural significance, the exhibition his- tory of the Transparent Figures continues to be written today in the most varied presentations. ‹ Fig. 52 The Transparent Man from 1935 in the depot of the DHMD, 2020 CURRICULA VITAE
