Innymi zwolennikami Böhmego w Beuthen byli m.in . poborca podatkowy Kaspar Lindner, in struktor szkolny Abraham Bernhard i kiper Rady Miasta. Home of the Gymnasium Schoenaichianum, a uni versity-like institution of higher learning, Beuthen an der Oder was not just a trading town, but sup ported a thriving intellectual community. The school attracted students and learned visitors during its short life, many of whom had connections to Görlitz, among these the poet Martin Opitz. During the 1620s, the town became a centre for dissenting reli gious views. Followers of the Erfurt antinomian Esajas Stiefel lived there, while Böhme found sup port from nobles including Friedrich von Kreckwitz. A professor of medicine at the Schoenaichianum, Gottfried Freudenhammer von Freudenheim, was a copyist and correspondent of Böhme. Other sup porters of Böhme in Beuthen included the toll collector Kaspar Lindner, the school instructor Abraham Bernhard, and the city council’s Master of the Cellar, among others.
