The brothers Karl and Michael Ender von Sercha were two of Böhme’s most important supporters. Karl made a copy of Böhme’s Aurora man­ uscript 1612–1613 which yet other friends then copied. Through these circulating texts, Böhme first came to the attention of the Görlitz Chief Pastor Gregor Richter, leading to Böhme’s interrogation and the con­ fiscation of his copy of Aurora . Yet both Karl and his younger brother Michael continued supporting Böhme and copying his texts. This copy of Böhme’s Signatura Rerum or “the Signatures of Things,” is in Michael’s hand. Together, the two brothers held the most important collection of original texts and copies. Karl sporządził kopię rękopisu Aurory Böhmego z lat 1612–1613, którą następnie skopiowali inni przyjaciele. Poprzez te krążące teksty Böhme po raz pierwszy zwrócił na siebie uwagę głównego pastora Görlitz Gregora Richtera, co doprowadziło do przesłuchania Böhmego i konfiskaty jego kopii Aurory. Jednak zarówno Karl, jak i jego młodszy brat Michael nadal wspierali Böhmego i kopiowali jego teksty. Ten egzem­ plarz Signatura Rerum, czyli „Znaków rzeczy” Böhmego, jest dziełem Michaela. Obaj bracia byli w posiadaniu najważniejszego zbioru orygi­ nalnych tekstów i kopii. Na przodzie tego egzemplarza Signatura Rerum 54
